Our History

Malaga Restaurant, located in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, has been serving authentic Spanish cuisine since November 1990. Founded by three siblings who were inspired by their grandparents' culinary heritage in Spain, Malaga aims to recreate the rich flavors and traditions of Spanish home cooking. The commitment to authenticity extends beyond the menu, encompassing the vibrant atmosphere and warm hospitality that guests experience upon entering.

Our menu is a celebration of classic Spanish dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and time-honored techniques. Diners can embark on a culinary journey from the lighter fare of refreshing gazpacho, the Andalusian classic cold tomato soup, to hearty stews and paella, the iconic Spanish rice dish bursting with seafood, chicken, and saffron.

To truly capture the heart of Spanish cuisine, Malaga offers a selection of tapas, small plates designed for sharing. From patatas bravas, crispy potatoes with a spicy aioli, to gambas al ajillo, succulent garlic shrimp, these bites are a tantalizing introduction to the diverse flavors of Spain.

Beyond the familiar favorites, Malaga also presents more adventurous options like calamares a la romana, crispy fried calamari, or bacalao al pil pil, salt cod cooked in a fragrant garlic and olive oil sauce.
