Breaking down barriers to healthcare, one treatment at a time.
L/A Community Acupuncture is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Lewiston, Maine. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in our community by breaking down barriers to care and providing an effective, non-invasive approach to healing through affordable acupuncture and herbal medicine.
Our organization is dedicated to making healthcare accessible to all. We believe that acupuncture is most effective when received frequently, which is why we offer personalized treatments in a quiet group setting for just $30 per treatment. With online scheduling available, you can get the care you need when you need it.
At L/A Community Acupuncture, we provide treatments that last between 45-60 minutes, giving you the flexibility to decide how long your treatment lasts. Our acupuncturists are experienced and skilled, giving more than 50,000 acupuncture treatments and prescribing countless herbal formulas.
Our Mission
Our mission is to improve the quality of life in our community by breaking down barriers to care and offering an effective, non-invasive approach to healing. Acupuncture is most effective when received frequently until your health improves, and the community acupuncture model allows you to come in often enough to see positive results.
We are committed to raising awareness of the benefits of acupuncture and plant medicine, and we believe that the practice of medicine includes acknowledging inequities, fighting for health justice, and increasing access to care.
