Our Story

Unique Railroad Contractors, now known as Krause Brother's Construction, was founded over a quarter of a century ago by two brothers, Douglas and Bruce Krause. The company began with a single tractor, a few sledgehammers, and a commitment to excellence. Over the years, the company grew and expanded its services to become a leading provider of aggregate materials, heavy equipment, and trucking services in the Tri-State Region of Northeast South Dakota, Southeast North Dakota, and Central Minnesota.

Our Products

We produce and provide a range of aggregate materials, including washed sand, pearock washed rock, small-screened and/or crushed gravel, and large natural rock. Our black dirt and other materials are available in various sizes and quantities to meet your specific needs.

Our Locations

We have pit locations in Hankinson, North Dakota; Veblen, South Dakota; Rollag, Minnesota; and Wahpeton, North Dakota. Our convenient locations enable us to efficiently deliver materials to your job site.
