*Bakersfield College (BC)*
Bakersfield College, the oldest institution in KCCD, has been serving the community for over 100 years, dedicated to helping students reach their academic and career goals. With over 220 programs and 27,904 students, BC offers a wide array of educational opportunities that cater to students with diverse interests, backgrounds, and learning styles. The college has disbursed $82,884,548 in financial aid during the 2021-22 academic year, helping to ensure that education remains accessible and affordable for all.
*Cerro Coso Community College (CC)*
Situated in the sprawling, breathtaking landscapes of eastern California, Cerro Coso Community College provides educational opportunities for the widely separated desert, mountain, and valley communities within a four-county region. With 61 programs and approximately 4,900 students, CC's dedicated faculty and staff cater to the unique needs of their students, offering the highest quality education and support services. During the 2021-2022 academic year, CC disbursed $7,861,599 in financial aid to assist students in achieving their academic dreams.
*Porterville College (PC)*
Originally established in 1927, Porterville College has grown into a thriving educational institution, dedicated to empowering its students and communities. Serving approximately 4,256 students, PC offers 64 programs that reflect the diverse interests and aspirations of its students. During the 2021-22 academic year, PC disbursed over $17,175,284 in financial aid, reinforcing its commitment to accessibility, affordability, and student success.
4-Year Degree Programs
In our ongoing commitment to serving our communities and empowering our students, KCCD offers four-year baccalaureate degree programs that provide a more affordable and accessible pathway to achieving a bachelor's degree. With a focus on high-demand careers, these programs offer students the unique opportunity to stay close to home and engaged in their local communities while pursuing their academic goals.
BC's Industrial Automation program is the first of its kind in the district, offering students the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this rapidly growing field. With more four-year programs on the horizon, KCCD will continue to expand its academic offerings, ensuring our students are prepared for successful futures and careers.
