Programs and Services
We offer a comprehensive 550-hour massage therapy program that is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the art and science of massage therapy. Our program is divided into two main components: Theory and Practicum.
- The Theory component covers the scientific and philosophical aspects of massage therapy, including anatomy, physiology, pathology, and kinesiology.
- The Practicum component focuses on the practical application of massage techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and specialized massage modalities.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission to our program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
+ Be at least 18 years of age
+ Have a high school diploma or equivalent
+ Be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language
+ Submit two character references from healthcare professionals
+ Complete a personal on-site tour of our facility
+ Submit a personal data form
+ Submit a signed Enrollment Agreement and Application Fee
+ Make a payment in full or sign a payment plan for tuition before or on the first day of class
Licensing Requirements
To be licensed as a massage therapist in the state of Tennessee, applicants must:
+ Be at least 18 years of age and have received a high school diploma or GED
+ Have completed a minimum of 500 hours of supervised study at an approved school
+ Have passed a passing grade on an approved examination
+ Pass the Massage and Bodywork Licensing exam (MBLEx) established by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards
Objectives
Upon completion of our 550-hour program, students will be proficient in a full-body Swedish massage and exposed to a range of basic massage therapy applications. Our goal is to provide each student an education that meets the requirements set forth by the Tennessee Board of Massage Therapy and the National Board of Testing.
Graduation
Upon successful completion of our program, students will be awarded a diploma and certificate of graduation from Reflections of Health School of Massage, Inc.
