Company History

We have a rich history that spans over nine decades, with each division having its own unique legacy. Hunt Transportation started as a livestock and agricultural equipment hauler in Omaha, Nebraska. Shaffer Trucking began in New Kingstown, Pennsylvania, primarily delivering chocolate for Hershey. Crete Carrier Corporation itself was founded in Crete, Nebraska, in 1966, starting with just six leased trailers.

Over the years, we have expanded our services to cover a wide range of freight, including dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and open deck. We serve customers throughout the lower 48 states and operate 20 terminals for our drivers across the country. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has made us one of the nation's largest food and temperature-sensitive carriers.
