The Winery @ Young Farms

At The Winery @ Young Farms, we are a family-friendly venue that offers a variety of wines and ciders for our patrons to enjoy. We are located in Mecosta, Michigan, and we are proud to be the first winery in the area. Our tasting room is located in a 50+ year old barn on our 78-acre farm and grape vineyard. We are dedicated to providing a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy our delicious wines and ciders, and we offer a variety of small plates for you to snack on while you're here.

Our Story

Our journey began in 2003 when Mark and Abby Young started working on their property in Morton Township. They began with a tree farm and wreath business, and over the years, they added their children, Archer and Evelyn, to the mix, started a blueberry farm, and now, the latest venture, The Winery @ Young Farms. Mark proposed to Abby in 2004 where their house now stands, and together, they began a journey that would eventually lead them to where they are today.

Our Wines and Ciders

We are proud to offer a variety of wines and ciders for our patrons to enjoy. Our wines include Flossie's White, Diane's White, Sonny's White, Eugene's Red, Fr. Tom's Red, and Herb's Red. Our ciders include Them Apples, Hippity Hoppity Herbal Remedy, Babymaker Sweet Cinner Peach Bum, and Small Plates. All of our wines and ciders are produced, cellared, and bottled at our facility in Mecosta, Michigan.

Our Team

Our team is dedicated to providing a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for all of our patrons. Mark Young, the owner, is personally involved in all aspects of the winery, from caring for the vineyard to making the wine. Abby Young, the "Lady Boss, " is the glue that holds everything together, managing the tasting room and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. We also have a team of friendly and knowledgeable staff, including Michele Young, a Level 1 Sommelier, Tracy Snyder, and Marie Chapman, who are all dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for our patrons.

Services Offered

We offer a variety of services for our patrons to enjoy. We have a calendar of fun events, including Music @ the Winery and Sangria Saturdays! We also have a Words & Wine Book Club for those who love to read and enjoy wine. Our tasting room is open Thursday through Saturday from 1pm to 9pm, and we welcome groups and families. Please call ahead to give us a heads up if you are planning to bring a group.
