After 18 years of commercial construction work in the Central Minnesota area, it was time for a new challenge. Mesabi Masonry was developed in 2002 in Aurora, located in Northern Minnesota. Mesabi Masonry is a very versatile concrete and masonry company that offers everything from foundations to fireplaces to decorative concrete driveways. Continuous training and educational seminars keep us informed on the latest concrete and masonry technology currently used within the industry. Mesabi Masonry is a member of the Arrowhead Builders Association, American Society of Concrete Contractors, and Decorative Concrete Contractors Association.

ICF Foundations

ICFs are a system of expanded polystyrene (EPS) rigid insulation blocks separated by plastic webbing. It is used as an integrated concrete form to pour a concrete wall instead of a traditional wood plank or plywood form. The cost of ICF vs. more traditional methods of construction is typically more for the actual construction, but the cost of ownership of an ICF structure is significantly less than the more traditional methods.
