Community Mental Health

Sanilac County Community Mental Health Authority is the county-level public mental health agency for Sanilac County residents. As a mental health 'safety net, ' we provide public services to individuals recovering from or living with serious mental illnesses, serious emotional disturbances, and developmental disabilities. Our services are designed to support individuals who are covered by Medicaid, Healthy Michigan Plan, and the Autism Benefit, as well as those who are uninsured.

At Sanilac CMH, our mission is to provide high-quality, accessible, and compassionate mental health care services to the residents of Sanilac County. Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to meet the diverse needs of our clients, including:

• Adult Outpatient Services: Our adult outpatient services provide counseling, therapy, and psychiatric care to adults struggling with mental health issues.
• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): Our ABA program is designed to help individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities develop new skills and behaviors.
• Assertive Community Treatment (ACT): Our ACT program provides intensive, community-based services to individuals with severe mental illnesses who require ongoing support.
• Children's Services: Our children's services provide counseling, therapy, and supportive services to children and adolescents struggling with mental health issues.
• Community Living Services: Our community living services provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.
• Home & Community Based Services (HCBS): Our HCBS program provides supportive services to individuals with developmental disabilities, enabling them to live in their own homes and participate in their communities.
• Skill Building Assistance: Our skill building assistance program provides training and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them to develop new skills and achieve their goals.
• Specialized Residential Services: Our specialized residential services provide 24/7 support and care to individuals with severe mental illnesses and developmental disabilities.

About Our Agency

Sanilac CMH is part of a four-county regional network with Genesee, Lapeer, and St. Clair counties, called Region 10. Our agency is managed by the Region 10 Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan (PIHP), which also serves as the regional Substance Abuse Services Coordinating Agency (CA) for the same four-county area.
