Our Story
Shawn Chapman, our founder, has spent over three decades in the funeral industry. He began his career in 1982, learning the art of embalming and funeral directing. After 18 years of experience, he decided to open Shawn Chapman Funeral Home in February 2000. Shawn is a 1983 graduate of Murray County High School, Reinhardt College with Business Administration, and Jefferson State College with Funeral Service Education. He is proud to have two sons, Wil and Bret, who also work in the family business.
