Welcome to the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP), the professional association that represents approximately 682 licensed optometrists, 200 paraoptometric members, and 140 student members across the state. Our dedicated members serve patients in various communities and practice settings, including private practices and retail establishments. We are passionate about promoting the importance of vision in lifelong learning, productivity, and overall well-being.
Our optometric physicians are prepared to diagnose and treat a wide range of ocular conditions, including eye injury, infection, inflammation, and allergy. They can also coordinate care with primary care physicians and surgeons. Our members actively participate in numerous vision care plans, major health insurance plans, Medicaid, and Medicare, ensuring that we are well-positioned to meet your eye health and vision care needs for a lifetime.

We collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
