Easthill Driving School

At East Hill Driving School, we take pride in providing a comprehensive driving education program for teenagers and adults. Our mission is to provide a safe and responsible driving experience that meets the requirements and standards of the State of Washington. Our goal is to equip our students with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a lifelong driver.

Teen Driving Classes

Our teen driving classes are designed to meet the State of Washington's requirements for teenagers. Our program is structured to provide 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training, and one hour of in-car observation. Our instructors are state-approved and licensed by the Department of Licensing (DOL). They are dedicated to providing a positive learning environment that focuses on defensive driving techniques and responsible driving practices.

Adult Driving Classes

Our adult driving classes are tailored to meet the individual needs of our students. Our instructional methods focus on flexibility, convenience, and personalized learning. We offer private driving lessons, defensive driving lessons, and DOL test prep classes. Our instructors are experienced and knowledgeable in teaching adults of all skill levels. We cater to foreign students and employees who require driving lessons.

Driving Knowledge Test

Our driving knowledge test is designed to assess a student's knowledge of traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices. The test is available in seven languages: English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese. The test fee is $30, and you can schedule an appointment or walk-in. Please arrive 30 minutes early to complete your registration.

Driving Skills Test

Our driving skills test is designed to evaluate a student's ability to safely operate a vehicle. The test fee is $50 for East Hill Driving School graduates who use their own vehicle and $70 for those who use our vehicle. The test is held by appointment only.

Check Your Vehicle Before the Test

Before taking the driving test, please ensure that your vehicle meets the following requirements:

• Doors open from both the inside and outside.
• Headlights, taillights, turn signals, and brake lights are in working order.
• Seat belts must work properly.

Rescheduling and Cancellation

Rescheduling will be permitted once with a 24-hour notice. Failure to appear for an appointment will result in cancellation of the test and no refund. EHDS is authorized to conduct the knowledge and skills test.

How to Apply for a Washington ID

If you do not have a Washington ID, please apply online at www.dol.wa.gov. You will receive an ID number, which is required to take the knowledge test. Please provide us with your ID number to ensure a smooth registration process.
