Norfolk Cooperative Preschool

The Norfolk Cooperative Preschool is a parent cooperative preschool that has been serving children in our community for over 40 years. Our teachers have over 110 years (combined) teaching experience, and believe in our school and our curriculum, which is why they stay an average of 7 years. We are committed to providing an excellent learning experience for children ages 2.9-5, in a nurturing, play-based environment where children are encouraged to learn and explore while strengthening the partnership between parents and teachers.

Accreditation

We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and certified by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Our teachers are certified by the state of Massachusetts and certified in First Aid & CPR. They stay current on childhood research and issues through Early Education workshops and continued higher education throughout the year.

Parental Involvement

As a parent cooperative preschool, we encourage parents to take an active role in their child's social and educational development. This time is very rewarding both for the child and for the parents. You can volunteer to be in your child's class, chaperone a field trip, or be on our board. There are so many ways to be involved!

Our Staff

We are proud of our dedicated staff, including our Director, Lori Ann Higgins, who has over 30 years of experience working with children and families. Our teachers are highly qualified and passionate about providing the best education for your child. We also have a dedicated staff member, Michelle Dunn, who has over 20 years teaching experience and is responsible for teaching the 3-day Blue Horse class and 2-day Brown Bear class.
