Reviews
Positive: The instructors are transparent, honest, and genuinely care about students' aviation careers.
Negative: The management is plagued by huge underlying issues, leading to poor customer service, inconsistent instructor pay, and a lack of standardization.

Challenges with Management and Organization

Theodore Leakas, a 3-star reviewer, points out that despite having awesome ownership and linemen, the management issues at Journeys Flight Center are a significant drawback. He highlights the lack of standardization in instructor pay, which can lead to unfair compensation for some instructors. Additionally, he notes that management does not facilitate teamwork, morale, and productivity, and is more focused on enforcing policy and imposing their opinions. This can result in poor customer service, with flights being canceled frequently.

Mixed Experiences with Instructors

Theodore Leakas also mentions that while some instructors are transparent, honest, and genuinely care about students' aviation careers, others take advantage of students by padding their flight times or providing unproductive ground lessons. Norris Goble, a 4-star reviewer, had a positive experience with instructor Will Matthews, who taught him with ease and efficiency. However, Jon, a 2-star reviewer, had a poor experience with an instructor who seemed more focused on getting a job elsewhere and didn't listen to his concerns or provide constructive feedback.

Rental Agreement Concerns

Jon's review also highlights some concerning terms in the rental agreement, including a gag order that prevents customers from giving negative reviews and liability for damage to aircraft, regardless of who is at fault.

Safety and Maintenance

Theodore Leakas praises the well-maintained aircraft and safe conditions at Journeys Flight Center. He notes that the terminal is well-kept, and the staff on both sides of the field are friendly and willing to offer advice.
