Our History

Our journey began in the 1970s when Ken Raymond and Joe Scaring developed the Thruway House Hotel in 1976. In the 1980s, Long and Raymond Real Estate was formed, and several years later, the Residential Coldwell Banker Franchise was purchased. Ken, along with his two daughters, developed a residential mortgage company which was later sold to SEFCU Mortgage Services and is now one of the largest lenders in the state.

In the 1990s, Ken partnered with Dean DeVito to develop future business to include commercial real estate, commercial funding, property management, development of apartments, offices, retail, and residential subdivisions. This partnership led to the development of several residential subdivisions, including Red Rock Estates, Travers Meadows, Country Club Estates, Crimson Park, Jordon Estates, Lake Meadows, and Neilson Landing, as well as the ground-up development of the Riverwalk on the Hudson apartment community.

In 1997, Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate was formed, and the continued development of apartment communities throughout the Capital Region, including Oak Hill, Shelter Cove, River's Edge, Waters View, Pavilion Grand, Electric City, Hudson Square, The Hamlet, and The Delaware, as well as repositioning existing complexes, further solidified our presence in the real estate market.

Leadership

Our leadership team is comprised of experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing top real estate solutions and services. Ken Raymond, our founder and CEO, has been instrumental in shaping the company's vision and direction. Dean DeVito, a partner since the 1990s, has been a key player in the development of our commercial real estate and funding divisions. Todd Curley, who joined Prime in 2006, has successfully run the Commercial Real Estate division and is now a partner. Michael Raymond, who joined the company in 2012, focuses on commercial funding and accounting.
