Meet Our Team

• Melinda LaChapelle - Pastry Chef: Melinda is a talented pastry chef who was born and raised in San Diego, CA. She grew up baking with her mom and grandma and has been with Sweet Caroline's from almost the very start, working her way up from assistant to Pastry Chef. Melinda is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando, FL, and she has been honored for her culinary skills. Melinda has a passion for creating delicious and beautiful pastries, and she is dedicated to ensuring that our customers are delighted with every bite.
• Richard Cannici - Owner/Baker: Richard is the owner of Sweet Caroline's and oversees all aspects of the business. He was born and raised in New Jersey, where he developed a love for small-town bakeries. After serving as a Marine Infantry Officer for five years, including three combat tours in Iraq, Richard turned his attention to the world of pastry and baking. He has a passion for creating delicious baked goods, and he is committed to providing exceptional service to our customers.
