Our Story

Our story began in late 1925 when Ham Brothers Funeral Home was established in Teague. The business was a partnership between E.B. (Ernest) Ham, J. Bob Ham, and their brother-in-law, C.J. (Charlie) Cobb. Over the years, the funeral home has had several owners and names, including Lawrence Funeral Home, Lawrence-Ricks Funeral Home, and Ricks Funeral Home. In January 1999, Brian D. Bowers became the manager of the business, which eventually led to the establishment of Bowers Funeral Home and Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home.
