Founded in 1998, Carolina Reiki Institute, Inc. specializes in the areas of Reiki certification training and therapy. About Carolina Reiki

At the heart of what we do is Reiki, a Japanese word that means "Universal Life Force Energy." Reiki is an ancient healing art that uses light, non-invasive touch to promote balance and healing within the body, as well as in the mind and spirit. It is a gentle yet powerful energy that can benefit individuals of any age or state of health. Our services include Reiki therapy for a wide range of issues, including pain management, stress and anxiety reduction, and overall balancing of energies.

Why Reiki Works

Reiki works by addressing not only the physical symptoms of a client's condition but also the whole range of attitudes and behaviors surrounding the condition. It recognizes and deals with cycles of stress, anxiety, physical tension, symptoms, and disease. By incorporating complementary therapies such as Reiki into traditional medical approaches, we can enhance client care by decreasing stress and pain levels, improving overall mental/emotional states, and often resulting in a decreased need for pain medication.

Learn Reiki

At Carolina Reiki Institute, Inc., we offer classes for all levels of Usui Reiki, from beginner to advanced. Our self-paced classes are perfect for individuals who wish to learn Reiki for personal use and to help family members. For those who wish to set up their own practice, we offer a six-month Certified Reiki Practitioner Program. We also offer an apprenticeship program for practitioners who wish to become instructors. All classes are now being individually scheduled.

Classes

Reiki has been practiced in mainland United States since the early 70s, but many areas of the country remain unaware of its benefits. Reiki is not taught in the traditional sense, but rather is transferred to the student during the Reiki class. The Reiki Master passes the ability to connect fully and tap directly into the source of this unlimited supply of "life force energy" by way of "attunements." No specific intellectual capacity or spiritual development is required, and once attuned, the ability to connect to the energy is never lost.
