Our journey began in 1994 when our founders, Russ and Margaret Lyon, purchased 23 acres of hay meadow in Jacksonville, Oregon. Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to cultivate our land, plant vineyards, and build a winery that showcases the unique terroir of our region.
Our Story
Our vineyard is situated on a property that was once a slurry mine, where prospectors sought to find gold in the late 19th century. The remnants of this mine have given our soil a rich, mineral-infused quality that is evident in every bottle of our wine. Our location is comparable to the Rhone Valley in France, with similar climate and soil conditions that produce exceptional red and white wines. We focus on planting Syrah and Viognier grapes, which are renowned for their complexity and flavor.
