Reliable Care - Loving Support

The Outsider Folk Art Gallery stand as a testament to the boundless creativity and unique vision of contemporary art. Established in 2005 by George and Sue Viener, and now guided by Diane Hill, the gallery showcases the remarkable works of Outsider and Folk artists from across the nation.

Our Vision

Our mission is to celebrate and elevate the voices of Outsider and Folk artists, who often find themselves marginalized within traditional art spaces. We believe art transcends all boundaries and possesses the power to challenge assumptions, inspire reflection, and foster a deeper connection to ourselves and the world around us.

Our Artistic Collective

We proudly represent a diverse group of talented artists, including:

  • Jim Bloom: Known for his ethereal paintings and prints that blur the lines between reality and illusion.
  • Sybil Roe Thompson and Mary Stoudt: Mother-daughter duo renowned for their colorful and whimsical "powder room" paintings.
  • David "Big Dutch" Nally: Abstract expressionist painter creating large-scale works that evoke visceral emotions.
  • Brent Brown: Master of mixed media, crafting fantastical creatures and scenes with meticulous attention to detail.

A Legacy of Supporting Artists

Over the years, the Gallery has proudly supported the artistic journeys of numerous individuals. We believe in fostering a nurturing and supportive environment where artists can flourish and share their unique perspectives with the world.

New Chapters

In 2015, the Gallery embraced the digital landscape and transitioned to an online presence. Today, we continue to celebrate art in all its diverse forms, offering a curated selection of both established and emerging artists.
