Our Mission and History

The VNA Health System has a rich history dating back to 1913, when the Shamokin Visiting Nurse Association became the first VNA founded in the region. Our goal has always been to provide quality, cost-effective home health and related services to all persons or families, regardless of their ability to pay. Over the years, we have grown and expanded our services to meet the changing needs of our community.

Our services are designed to provide patients with the support and care they need to recover and maintain their independence.

Our team of healthcare professionals specializes in areas such as Cardiac Care, Medication Management, Maternal Child Health, Wound & Ostomy Care, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies, Medical Social Work, Palliative Care through our Hospice program, and an extensive Flu Vaccine Program.
