Our History

SauderBuilt was founded by Mark Sauder in 1978. Mark, a native of Grabill, Indiana, brings a wealth of experience to every project, having studied civil engineering for two years at Purdue University. The Sauder family has been an established name in the Grabill community since 1830, ensuring a strong foundation for our business.

Our Philosophy

We believe in quality over quantity, focusing on a few projects at a time to ensure each project receives the attention it needs. Our goal is to construct a small number of custom projects to the highest standards rather than to be the largest builder in the area. By maintaining long-standing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers who share our business philosophy, we promote accountability, quality, and service.

Key Employees

Mark Sauder, our founder, is on site every day, bringing his expertise in nearly every construction trade. Craig Sauder, Mark's son, is our Project Manager and is poised to take ownership of the company in the future. His Bachelor's degree in Business from Indiana University and years of experience ensure a smooth transition.
