The Connecticut School of Music is more than just an institution; it's a community where music enthusiasts can come together to learn, grow, and excel in their craft. Our story began in 2000, with a mission to provide exceptional music education inspired by the techniques used by the top music conservatories, but at a fraction of the cost. We are proud to offer a wide range of programs that cater to all ages and skill levels, from classical guitar to jazz, rock, and even South African music. Our faculty consists of dedicated professionals who are passionate about teaching and have experience performing with world-class bands and Broadway shows.

Our Programs and Services

We understand that every student is unique, which is why we offer customized lesson plans designed to meet the specific needs and goals of each individual. Our programs include violin, viola, cello, classical and jazz guitar, piano, flute, clarinet, voice, trumpet, Trombone, and Saxophone lessons. We also offer half-hour, 45-minute, or hour-long lessons, as well as every-other-week lessons and 5 or 10 lesson packages for adults. For those interested, we provide group lessons and ensemble lessons. To accommodate all our students, we have payment plans available upon request.

Performance Opportunities

At the Connecticut School of Music, we believe that performance is an integral part of the learning process. It not only helps build confidence but also allows our students to apply what they've learned in a real-life setting. We host various concerts and events throughout the year, including our memorable performance at the Westport Town Hall, where we collaborated with the band Mikanic, members of Broadway's Lion King, and a member of Paul Simon's band. These events provide our students with the chance to showcase their talents and connect with other music lovers in the community.
