Our History

Our story began in 1950 when Burriss E. Botkin started his career in funeral service in Otway, Ohio. He went on to pursue his dream of owning and operating his own funeral home, and in 1957, the Botkin Funeral Home opened its doors to the public in Waverly, Ohio. Over the years, our funeral home has grown and expanded to serve the families of Pike and Scioto counties, with a commitment to providing the highest level of service and compassion.
