Our History

Founded in 1990 and based in Winter Springs, Florida, Retirement Planning Associates (RPA) is a statewide retirement planning firm with offices throughout Florida. For decades, RPA has specialized in retirement planning with a focus on issues unique to educators and public school employees. Our founding partners, Joe Avallone, Michael Borgailo, and David Payne, bring over 75 years of combined retirement planning experience to their practice.

It includes Special Pay Plan options and a FICA Alternative Plan.
