The Allegany County Local Behavioral Health Authority (LBHA) plays a crucial role in ensuring accessible and effective mental health and substance use services for residents of Allegany County, Maryland. 1. Crisis Intervention & Emergency Services
- 24/7 availability of a professional counselor in the UPMC Western Maryland Emergency Department to provide crisis assessment, intervention, and support.

- Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for various mental health disorders and substance use disorders.
- Medication management and therapy.
