Brown's Cycle Repair

Brown's Cycle was founded in 1970 by Jessie "Tennessee" Brown, a renowned chopper builder from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. After World War II, Jessie's uncle introduced him to riding by letting him use an Army 45" WLA motorcycle. This experience sparked a passion for motorcycle riding and repair that would last a lifetime.

Jessie honed his skills in sheet metal work, a trade he would practice for 27 years. However, his true passion lay in maintaining and customizing his Harley Davidson motorcycles. When the chopper scene began to gain popularity in the late 1960s and early 1970s, Jessie knew he had found his calling. He would work on bikes until late into the night, extending forks, installing sissy bars, and learning everything there was to know about keeping his Harley Davidson motorcycles in top condition.

In 1976, Jessie's youngest son, David, left college to help his father run the bike shop. Fourteen years later, in 1990, Jessie's oldest son, Gary, also joined the family business. Despite selling the business to his sons for just $1.00, Jessie continued to visit the shop every day, seeing his customers and sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience.

Sadly, Jessie passed away in December of 2013 at the age of 86, followed by his oldest son Gary in March of 2016. However, David Brown continues to honor his father's legacy and the company that his brother Gary helped build.

We also offer vehicle alignment and frame damage assessments using the Rack and Pull Industries "Straight Shooter" system, making us the only shop in Texas to offer this service.
