Our History

Bockmon & Woody Electric Co., Inc. boasts a rich history dating back to 1955, beginning as Bockmon & Womble Electric. Founded by Glen G. Bockmon and Harold Womble, the company has been a cornerstone of the electrical contracting industry for over six decades. Glen G. retired in 1984, ceding his partnership to his son, Glen A. Bockmon. Harold Womble's retirement in 1990 saw Gary E. Woody, a seasoned foreman of seventeen years, join the partnership. Together, Glen A. Bockmon and Gary E. Woody steered the company forward as Bockmon & Woody Electric Co., Inc., building upon the strong foundation established by their predecessors. In 1999, Glen A. Bockmon retired, paving the way for his sons, Jeff and Greg Bockmon, to assume leadership roles.

This familial legacy continued when Gary E. Woody's sons, Gary M. and Nick, joined the partnership in 2014, each beginning their journey as shop helpers. This hands-on approach instilled in them a deep understanding of the electrical trade, mirroring the path of their fathers. Gary M. went on to earn a business degree from the University of Oregon, currently serving as the V.P./Chief Estimator. Nick, armed with a business degree from California State University, Sacramento, contributes as V.P./Superintendent, seamlessly blending his academic pursuits with practical experience gained during summers at BWE.

Our team of certified technicians and design specialists provides comprehensive services in the telecommunications and audio-video fields. We expertly handle all aspects of Information Transport Systems (ITS), encompassing cabling infrastructure, terminations, testing, and troubleshooting. Our technicians are proficient in Cat 5e, 6, and 6A (10 gig) configurations, and our fiber technicians are certified fusion splicers, trained and tested on cutting-edge fusion splice equipment. From outside plant installations to indoor network infrastructure, we deliver reliable and robust data solutions. We utilize advanced testing equipment, including Fluke DTX 1800 level 4 testers and optical time domain reflectometers, to ensure optimal performance and connectivity. Our certifications as a PCI Panduit certified company and Coring & OCC fiber certified company further underscore our commitment to quality and expertise in this domain.

Pre-Construction

Our dedicated pre-construction team meticulously reviews project plans and specifications, identifying potential issues and inconsistencies to facilitate a smoother construction process.
