Welcome to The Swamp Restaurant - Gainesville's Historic Dining & Event Venue
The Swamp Restaurant has been a cornerstone of the Gainesville community for over 25 years, serving as a beloved dining destination, bar, and event venue. Established in 1994, our original location became an iconic landmark with its historic charm, white picket fence, and sprawling front lawn. After a temporary closure in 2020, overwhelming support from the Gator Nation enabled us to rebuild and reopen in 2022 just four minutes from our original site, preserving the same cherished atmosphere. Our commitment to fostering community spirit is evident through live music, gameday tailgates, and National Championship watch parties. We continue to honor our legacy while embracing innovation in the Gainesville Innovation District, offering exclusive merchandise and commemorative bricks to celebrate our patrons' connections to the University of Florida. With decades of experience, we remain dedicated to providing authentic Southern cuisine, vibrant social gatherings, and a space where tradition meets modern celebration.
