At Forte Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, we are dedicated to helping cancer patients move better, feel better, and be better. Founded in 2002 by Rachel Fey-Larsen, PT, we have evolved into the premier oncology rehabilitation center in South Texas. Our team of skilled therapists and staff share a common goal of providing comprehensive physical rehabilitation to individuals suffering from cancer or the effects of cancer treatment.

Our History

Our journey began as Forte Physical Therapy, a small one-room clinic focused on managing lymphedema, a common consequence of breast cancer treatment. Recognizing the need for rehabilitation beyond lymphedema, we expanded to Forte Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in 2006, becoming the first comprehensive oncology rehabilitation center of its kind in South Texas. In June 2022, we partnered with Oncology Rehab and Methodist Hospital in San Antonio to staff the Methodist Cancer Care Rehabilitation Center, further solidifying our position as a leader in oncology rehabilitation.

Our Services

We offer a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of cancer patients. Our prehabilitation services prepare patients for chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery, while our rehabilitation services focus on identifying and treating complex medical conditions that may arise during and after treatment. We also specialize in pain control, lymphedema management and mitigation, functional movement restoration, and pelvic floor rehabilitation, among others.
