Our story began in 1936 when our original location was established in the Triangle area. Over the years, we've grown and evolved, but our commitment to quality, honesty, and customer service has remained constant.

Our History

In the 1950s, we moved to our current location on E. Chatham St. in Cary, NC. When Noah Capps bought the company in 1968, he decided to keep the original name, Johnson's Jewelers of Cary, as a tribute to our founding principles. His son, John Capps, followed in his footsteps, joining the business after graduating from the GIA School of Gemology in California. Today, John and his wife, Lynette, are the owners of Johnson's Jewelers of Cary, with their sons, Brandon and Bradley, actively involved in the business as well.

Our Staff

Our staff is made up of experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing you with the best service possible. John Capps, our Gemologist and Owner, has been in the jewelry business for over 40 years. His wife, Lynette, also plays an essential role in the business, ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile on their face. Our team also includes two graduate gemologists, guaranteeing that you'll receive honest and trustworthy assessments of your jewelry choices.
