Sensei Jean-Louis Miranda founded Carrollwood Blackbelt Academy in 1999. He studied Shotokan, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Tae Kwon Do, earning black belts in ITF and WTF. Florida state champion 15+ times, he emphasizes traditional values in teaching.
Tim Lay
Instructor
Sensei Tim Lay, Florida Instructor of the Year (1998-1999), co-founded the academy with Jean-Louis Miranda. Inducted into the Florida Karate Hall of Fame, he promotes respect and loyalty through martial arts instruction.
