At Pioneer Jewelers, we have a rich history that spans over 40 years of retail in beautiful Juneau, Alaska. Founded by Jack and his wife, we began our retail careers in 1975 in a small shop called Mt. Juneau Trading Post, located in Merchant's Wharf on the Juneau waterfront. Over the years, we have built a reputation for quality and uniqueness, showcasing a wide range of products, including jewelry, artwork, and collectibles produced by talented artists and craftspeople from Alaska and beyond.

Our History

Our journey began in 1975, when Jack and his wife started their retail career in a small shop called Mt. Juneau Trading Post. In the early 1980s, we moved to the historic Seward Building in downtown Juneau and expanded our operations to include a separate gallery featuring the work of local artists. This collection of shops continued to thrive until we decided to close the physical store and venture into the world of e-commerce.
