Celebrating Life, One Family at a Time.

Welcome to the Performing Arts Studio of New York, a nurturing and creative space that specializes in developing the artistic abilities of individuals of all ages. Our mission is to develop artists and promote live performance, providing a supportive environment where students can explore the world of performing arts with experienced professionals.

Our team of instructors is composed of seasoned professionals in the field of performing arts. Deborah Livering, a Broadway veteran and recording artist, brings her extensive experience in acting and voice to the classroom. Michael Livering, a pianist, composer, and record producer, shares his expertise in piano and improvisation. Terri Morrissey, an actress and singer with over thirty-five years of experience, leads our theater workshops for children.

Our Services

At the Performing Arts Studio of New York, we offer a range of classes and workshops designed to help students master the skills necessary to achieve their goals in the performing arts. Our classes are small and process-oriented, ensuring that each student receives individual attention and guidance.

For our younger students, we offer Children's Creative Dramatics, Children's Musical Theater Workshops, and Children's Vocal Workshops. These classes focus on building a strong foundation in the performing arts through creative play, movement, and vocal exercises.

For teenagers and adults, we offer a variety of classes, including Teen Company Class (audition only), Adult Vocal Workshops, Adult Acting Company Class (audition only), Theater Dance for the Actor, and classes ranging from beginner to advanced levels.

In addition to our regular classes, we also offer workshops throughout the year, covering a range of topics from improvisation to audition preparation.

Camp Broadway at PAS

This summer, we are excited to offer Camp Broadway at PAS, a full-day theater camp for 6th-12th graders and a half-day theater camp for 4th & 5th graders. This 7-week intensive theater experience runs from July 6th to August 19th and culminates in a full-length production in our Black Box Theater. Campers will receive voice and acting coaching, participate in lunch and activities in Port Jeff Village Park, and have the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience. Space is limited, so be sure to register now by calling (631-928-6529).
