Founded by Maren Baker, the firm is rooted in classic design principles and combines different styles and client goals to create unique interiors. With extensive experience in innovative and functional remodels, creative decoration, and new construction projects, Maren Baker Design takes clients' homes from concept to completion with careful attention to detail, layering, and immersion. Based in Boise, Idaho, Maren Baker Design welcomes projects both locally and nationwide.

Our Passionate Founder, Maren Baker

Maren Baker's love for interior design started at a young age, rearranging her room and exploring her creative vision for her bedroom "schemes." She pursued her passion by studying history and art at Denison University, followed by a stint in commercial real estate research. Eventually, she obtained her degree in interior design with honors from Harrington College of Design. Established in 2010, Maren Baker Design has grown through the years, challenged and inspired by the variety of projects she has worked on. In 2016, Maren and her family relocated to Boise, Idaho, where she continues to develop her craft and inspire clients.

The Scenic Home - A Collaborative Home Store

As an extension of her passion for interiors, Maren Baker opened a pop-up home store called Grant. A Home Shop in 2019. In 2020, Maren partnered with two other established interior designers to open a permanent home store, Scenic - The Storied Home. Scenic offers curated home decor and furnishings, providing a unique shopping experience for design enthusiasts and clients. Located next door to the design studio, Scenic is open Tuesday-Saturday, 9 am - 6 pm.
