Steinberg Ruthie

I am Ruthie Steinberg, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 30 years of experience in providing therapy for individuals, groups, couples, and families. I am also a Parenting Coordinator, Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, and I specialize in pediatrics and family issues, including treatment for parental alienation. My practice is based on holistic principles, which allows me to create individualized treatment plans for each of my clients.

Holistic Therapeutic Approach

My holistic approach to therapy involves exploring various factors that may impact my clients' well-being. These factors include individual needs, issues, environments, relationships, physical health, level of functioning, and any other relevant factors. By establishing individualized treatment plans, I can work in partnership with my clients and, when appropriate, their families to achieve the treatment goals we set. My main objective is to assist individuals, families, and couples in achieving the highest level of functioning and happiness by focusing on empowerment.

Specialized Services

I am extremely devoted to my clients and passionate about their well-being. I go above and beyond to ensure that my clients' environments are set up for success. This includes attendance at school meetings, doctors' appointments, and court when necessary. I am accessible and will meet with clients during off-hours to proactively avoid escalations of problems and crises.

In addition to traditional therapy, I also offer Pro Se Mediation and Parenting Coordination services. These services are designed to help couples and families navigate difficult situations, such as divorce and custody disputes, in a way that minimizes conflict and promotes positive communication.

Pro Se Mediation

Pro Se Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution that allows couples to resolve their issues without going to court. As a mediator, I facilitate conversations between the parties to help them reach a mutually acceptable agreement. This process is often less expensive and less time-consuming than traditional litigation, and it allows the parties to maintain control over the outcome of their dispute.

Parenting Coordination

Parenting Coordination is a child-focused alternative dispute resolution process that helps parents create workable parenting plans and resolve disputes in a way that minimizes conflict and promotes the best interests of their children. As a Parenting Coordinator, I assist parents in implementing their parenting plan, making decisions about child-related issues, and improving their communication skills.

Book: Solution Oriented Dialog

I am also the author of the book 'Solution Oriented Dialog', which provides a practical guide to effective communication and conflict resolution. The book is based on my years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families, and it offers a roadmap for creating positive, productive conversations that lead to solutions.

Office Hours and Location

My office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 11AM-7PM, Thursday from 9AM-5PM, and Friday from 9AM-3PM. Weekend hours are available for emergencies for existing clients only. My practice is located at 901 SW Martin Downs Blvd, Palm City, Florida 34990.
