Our Story

Glezen's Power Equipment, a trusted name in power equipment sales and service, was founded by Dan Sr. and Florence Glezen in 1968. From its humble beginnings in a tent in the front yard of the Glezen's home, the company has grown to become a leading provider of high-quality power equipment, serving customers in Hallstead, PA and beyond.

Interesting History

Glezen's Power Equipment was founded in 1968 by Dan Sr. and Florence Glezen, who were eager to provide a fun, competent, and honorable experience for their customers. They started by selling and servicing Bolens tractors and snowmobiles out of a tent in their front yard, while Dan held a full-time job at the Hallstead Foundry.

As the business grew, Dan and Florence built a small showroom and expanded their product offerings to include chainsaws, which were in high demand in the logging town of Hallstead. Seeking the best of the best, they chose to pursue Stihl, quickly becoming successful and needing to inventory higher and shift their attention more to sales and service.

In 1989, the market demanded even more, and Glezen's Power Equipment acquired two more of the highest quality lines of handheld power equipment: Husqvarna and Echo. With these three world leaders in professional outdoor power equipment - Stihl, Husqvarna, and Echo - Glezen's Power Equipment was able to provide an even wider range of high-quality products and services to its customers.
