Where Children Learn Through Play
At Community Cooperative Nursery School (CCNS), we believe that early childhood education is a journey that should be filled with discovery, creativity, and joy. Founded in 1953, we are one of the few cooperative preschools in Connecticut, proudly accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our programs are designed to stimulate each child's curiosity, develop positive social skills, and encourage creative and emotional expression. We offer drop-off classes for two-year-olds, three-year-olds, and four-year-olds, as well as a unique Twos Drop Off Program. Our outdoor classroom provides an additional space for exploration and learning.
Our Programs
Our classrooms are creative and dynamic places where children are encouraged to explore, create, and learn. Our teachers strive to provide a nurturing environment that supports each child's unique development. We believe that learning should be an adventure, and our programs are designed to make every day an exciting experience. From arts and crafts to outdoor activities, our curriculum is designed to engage and educate.
Outdoor Classroom
Our outdoor classroom is an extension of our indoor spaces, providing an additional area for exploration and learning. We believe that spending time outdoors is essential for a child's development, and our outdoor classroom is designed to encourage curiosity and creativity.
Enrichment
At CCNS, we believe that enrichment activities are essential for a well-rounded education. Our programs include various enrichment activities such as music, movement, and art, which are designed to stimulate each child's creativity and imagination.
CCNS Summer Camp
Our summer camp is designed to provide a fun and educational experience for children. With programs available for children of all ages, our summer camp offers a range of activities that promote creativity, social skills, and emotional expression.
Admissions Process
