Garvin Heights Vineyards

At Garvin Heights Vineyards, we are passionate about producing high-quality wines from cold climate grapes that we grow on our five-acre vineyard located on the bluff above the city of Winona, Minnesota on the Mississippi River. We also source grapes from growers in Minnesota and Wisconsin to create a unique blend of flavors that showcase the best of the Upper Mississippi River Valley American Viticulture Area.

Our Story

Our journey began over 30 years ago when Drs. Linda and Marvin Seppanen started growing grapes on Garvin Heights. In 2006, we received our Federal winery permit and started building our winery building. A year later, we obtained our Minnesota farm winery license and opened our doors to wine enthusiasts. Since then, we have continued to grow and expand our operations, adding the Ridgeview Event Center in 2015 to host weddings, corporate events, and private parties for up to 100 guests.

Our Wines

We take pride in our wines, which are carefully crafted using traditional winemaking techniques. Our team of experienced winemakers carefully selects and blends grape varieties to create a range of wines that cater to different tastes and preferences. From crisp and refreshing whites to rich and full-bodied reds, our wines are designed to be enjoyed on their own or paired with a variety of cuisines. We offer wine tastings, flights, and pairing experiences, as well as a gift shop where you can purchase our wines and other wine-related accessories.

Event Hosting

At Garvin Heights Vineyards, we understand the importance of creating memorable experiences for our guests. That's why we offer event hosting services for weddings, corporate events, and private parties. Our Ridgeview Event Center features an outdoor deck and can accommodate up to 100 guests. Our experienced team will work with you to customize every detail of your event, from catering to decor, to ensure that it is a success.
