Our Founder

Katie O'Neill Tran, the founder of O'Neill Tran Law, has spent over 15 years assisting entrepreneurs with a wide array of legal issues. From initial trademark application filings through managing large domestic and international trademark portfolios; entity formation and contract negotiations, Katie has experience serving as the general corporate counsel for companies across the United States and the world, including those based in California, Chicago, New York, and Dublin (Ireland). She has experience not only in domestic business and trademark law, but also in international intellectual property law and commercial litigation. Katie is an active member of the bar and is licensed to practice law in California, Illinois, New York, and Ireland.

Katie is a dedicated member of the legal community, holding various positions in professional affiliations. She is the Chair of the State Bar of California Business Law Section Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies Committee (2021-2022), Vice President of the State Bar of California Business Law Section Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies Committee (2020-2021), Secretary of the State Bar of California Business Law Section Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies Committee (2019-2020), and a Member of the State Bar of California Business Law Section Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies Committee (2019-2024).
