Center For Pain Management

The Center for Pain Management (CPM) was established to treat individuals who suffer from chronic, disabling pain. Our uniqueness and strength lie in our ability and experience in utilizing a multidisciplinary approach effectively to benefit our patients. We understand that pain is a subjective experience, but it is real, and we strive to develop a treatment program that will help our patients improve their quality of life.

Services Offered

Our comprehensive chronic pain management services include evaluation and assessment of various conditions such as CPRS-I and II, causalgias, post herpetic neuralgias, neuropathic pain syndromes, pelvic pain syndromes, low back pain, and more. We also offer procedural-based treatments like cervical and lumbar blockades, neurolysis, spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve blockade, and trigger point injections. Additionally, we provide medical management including long-term narcotic regimes and adjuvant medications, as well as recommendations and referrals for physical therapy and psychological evaluation and interventions.

Medical Director

Our Medical Director, Firdaus Hashim, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and board-certified pain management specialist. She has extensive experience in the field, having completed her internship at Ravenswood Hospital Medical Center, her residency at Loyola University Medical Center, and a Pain Management Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Hashim has been recognized for her expertise and has been a driving force in the development of our comprehensive treatment programs.
