At Gabriel's Bakery, baking delicious, handcrafted breads, bagels, and pastries is our passion. But we believe in more than just making great food. We're deeply committed to nourishing our community and preserving the planet.
Our Story
Founded in 1987 by immigrant baker Amilcar Alvarez, Gabriel's Bakery started as a small, family-run bakery in Portland, Oregon. Now, his sons, Gabriel and Sandro, carry on their father's legacy, upholding his values and expanding the business. We combine traditional baking techniques with innovative flavors and local ingredients to create unique and delicious treats.
What We Offer
We offer a diverse selection of baked goods, pastries, and unique items you won't find in most stores. Our offerings include:
- Freshly baked breads: Whole wheat, sourdough, walnut & cranberry, eight-grain, quinoa oatmeal, and more.
- Delicious bagels: Classic plain, sesame, poppy seed, cinnamon raisin, and flavored variations.
- Pastries and treats: Danishes, croissant variations, cookies, and seasonal specials.
Community & Sustainability
We believe in giving back to our community and making a positive impact. We:
- Donate 1000+ bagels each month to the Portland Food Bank.
- Partner with local farmers who prioritize sustainable agriculture.
