History

The Fort Davidson Hotel has a rich history, dating back to the Civil War era. The site was the scene of one of the largest and most hard-fought battles waged on the state's soil, the Battle of Pilot Knob, in 1864. Today, our hotel is situated on the preserved Fort Davidson, serving as a memorial to the soldiers who gave their lives fighting for their idea of freedom. We are committed to preserving and interpreting this historic site for future generations.
