Welcome to Modly Dermatology, a comprehensive private practice dedicated to providing expert dermatologic care for children and adults since 2002. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality of patient-centered skincare in a compassionate and comfortable environment. We pride ourselves on working closely with our patients to determine the right plan of action for their particular condition, ensuring their skin can look and feel its best again. Dr. Charlotte Modly, a board-certified dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, operates a solo practice specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She welcomes both pediatric and adult patients, offering exceptional comprehensive skincare. Dr. Modly earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Bryn Mawr College, graduating summa cum laude, followed by her medical degree from Case Western Reserve Univ. School of Medicine. During medical school, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and received the Stuart Blaine Fisher Award in Dermatology. She completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and her dermatology residency at the University of Maryland, serving as chief resident in her third year.

In the following three years, Dr. Modly worked in the LSU Department of Dermatology in New Orleans, specializing in auto-immune diseases of the skin, including lupus. Since returning to Baltimore, she has practiced in a private setting while continuing to teach medical students and residents at the University of Maryland. As a clinical assistant professor, Dr. Modly was honored with the Outstanding Teacher award in 2007. Following her departure from a large multi-specialty medical practice in 2002, she established Modly Dermatology in Reisterstown, Maryland, and has maintained her thriving practice for over 20 years.

Our Staff

The Modly Dermatology team is committed to providing exceptional care in a friendly and warm environment. Our front desk is staffed by Terry Roach and Ashley Sullivan, whose primary goal is to set up appointments, relay messages to Dr. Modly, and expedite your visit. The back office team consists of Irene Fleming and Mackenzie Connelly, who facilitate your movement to the exam rooms, assist in procedures, and offer patient education as needed.

Participating Insurances

Modly Dermatology accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare, but does not participate in United Health Care, their products (Kaiser, MAMSI, MDIPA, Alliance, Optimum Choice), CHAMPUS, Medical Assistance, First Health, and ElderHealth. We recommend calling our office to verify participating insurance before your appointment, as this list is subject to change.

Billing

We utilize Medical Billing Solutions, a local medical billing company, to process our claims and handle billing issues. Their on-site representative, Jessica Harris, is available on Mondays through Thursdays from 9 am to 4 pm, and can be reached at (410) 876-1115.
