Welcome to Toad Hall Children's Center, a family-owned preschool that focuses on teaching children how to think and learn independently through a play-based curriculum. We believe that learning how to learn is the most important thing a child can do. It will boost their self-confidence and allow them to be prepared for their next step in life and learning, no matter how old they are.
Our Philosophy
At Toad Hall Children's Center, we understand how important the first five years of a child's life are, and we are committed to providing a safe and motivating environment in which your child can develop and grow at their own pace. Our philosophy is built on the following principles:

Our Curriculum
We offer a comprehensive curriculum that is designed to meet the unique needs of each child. Our curriculum is based on the Creative Curriculum for Preschool, which features exploration and discovery as a way of learning, enabling children to develop confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills. We also incorporate the Kindness Curriculum, which is designed to build character and teach the values and skills children need to grow into happy, productive, and caring people.
Programs and Facilities
We offer a variety of programs and facilities to meet the needs of our children. Our programs include:
- Full-day and half-day programs
- VPK programs
- Summer camps
- Programs for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years
Our facilities include:
- A fully equipped playground with play structures, swings, and slides
- A variety of classrooms and learning spaces
- A cafeteria that serves healthy and nutritious meals and snacks
- A library and reading nook
- A playground with a separate area for our infant class
Hours and Schedules
We are open 52 weeks a year, Monday-Friday, from 6:30 AM-6:00 PM. We offer a variety of schedules to meet the needs of our families, including part-time and full-time schedules.
Food and Nutrition
We take pride in providing healthy and nutritious meals and snacks to our children. Our lunch program is designed to meet the nutritional guidelines and portion sizes suggested by the USDA MyPlate program. We also offer a variety of snacks and beverages throughout the day.
Staff
Our staff is dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for our children. Our teachers are trained and experienced professionals who are passionate about working with young children. Our staff-to-child ratio is designed to ensure that each child receives the individual attention and care they need.
