Committed to our clients, from the courtroom to the community
Welcome to Contemplative Psychology, where we strive to help individuals find peace and well-being in their lives. Our approach combines Western psychotherapy with Buddhist-derived interventions, offering a unique and powerful path to healing.
At the heart of our practice is a deep understanding of the complexities of human suffering. We recognize that pain and distress can stem from a variety of sources, including difficult past experiences, unwanted thoughts and emotions, and even the big questions of life that often leave us feeling uncertain.
Our services are designed to address these challenges, using a range of therapeutic methods including Mindsight, CBT, trauma-focused, attachment, and DBT traditions. We also draw on Buddhist meditation practices to explore the essential nature of the mind and develop a personal worldview that is grounded in safety, kindness, and resilience.
With over 35 years of experience in private practice, teaching, and leadership roles in behavioral health agencies, our founder, Dr. Carol J. Fitzpatrick, brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to each session. Her extensive background in both Western psychology and Buddhist practices allows her to offer a uniquely holistic approach to therapy.
At Contemplative Psychology, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to find peace and well-being. We are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences with confidence.
If you are seeking a path to healing that is grounded in both science and spirituality, we invite you to explore our services further. Whether you are facing specific challenges or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, we are here to support you on your journey.
