Learning Disabilities Clinic

The Learning Disabilities Clinic (LDC) was founded in 1968 by its owner and director, Lynne Master. Its original mission was to diagnose and treat the wide range of learning disorders that affect individuals of all ages. Since then, LDC has expanded its expertise to include educational opportunities for child, high school, and adult education. With a personally assigned master's or Ph. D. level teacher, one-to-one instruction is offered to each individual in a friendly, supportive, and success-oriented atmosphere.

LDC believes that by mastering fundamental skills and study techniques, each individual will develop a positive attitude and gain the self-confidence essential for a lifetime of success and fulfillment. We are fully accredited and can provide course credit recovery, alternative schooling, credit for homeschoolers, ACT/SAT test preparation, diagnostic testing and evaluation, and even a Michigan high school diploma. Fully Accredited Centrally located in Oak Park, providing personalized and private tutoring throughout southeast Michigan.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services including tutoring for preschool, elementary, high school, college, and adult education in all school subjects. We also provide tutoring for special needs, including learning disabilities, attention disorders, emotional impairments, cognitive impairments, central auditory processing disorders, nonverbal learning disabilities, speech & language disorders, and educational reintegration therapy for head injuries and autistic spectrum disorders. Additionally, we offer educational counseling, expert witness testimony, diagnostic testing and evaluation, school consultation, and IEP advocacy.

For students and parents seeking alternative schooling options, LDC offers alternative schooling for grades K-12 in all subject areas, with courses that are transferable to the student's school. We are also permitted to grant a Michigan graduation diploma. For those seeking to recover lost credits, our course credit recovery program allows students to earn credits in subjects they previously struggled with.
