About Us
At Performing Arts Academy of Marin (PAAM), we are dedicated to providing top-notch training in theater and dance to young performing artists from ages 3 through high school. Our mission is to equip our students with well-rounded, whole-person dance and theater arts training and the confidence to take on whatever path they choose.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of programs and services designed to cater to students of all levels and interests. Our school year programs include in-person classes in various styles such as ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, tap, and musical theater. We also provide advanced training through our Intensive Training Program, Dance Company, and Pre-Professional track.
In addition to our regular programs, we offer summer camps and intensives that are recreational and enriching for all. Our summer intensives are designed for students looking for challenges and continued training. We also provide performing opportunities through our Jr and Mainstage series, as well as fun community events like birthday parties and holiday spectaculars.

Our state-of-the-art facilities are designed to provide a safe and inspiring environment for our students to learn and grow. Our faculty consists of experienced and dedicated instructors who are passionate about teaching and mentoring young artists. Our leadership team, led by CEO and Artistic Director Annie Leese Thistle, is committed to providing exceptional training and opportunities for our students.
Our History
PAAM was established in 2009 by Annie Leese Thistle, who has been passionate about theater and dance since a young age. With the help of dedicated faculty and staff, PAAM has grown from humble beginnings in a church hall to a thriving community with state-of-the-art facilities and premier training in the performing arts.
