Phase I Environmental Site Assessments

Our Phase I Environmental Site Assessments are conducted in accordance with ASTM E1527-13 to identify the presence of recognized environmental conditions during the due diligence period of a property transaction. This involves a thorough review of readily available records, including facility information, contaminant migration pathways, public records, and interviews with relevant individuals. During the site visit, we observe for features such as odors, wells, storage containers, stained soil or pavement, distressed vegetation, and waste storage areas. If recognized environmental conditions are identified, a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment may be recommended.

Phase II Environmental Site Assessments

The purpose of a Phase II Subsurface Investigation is to assess whether identified recognized environmental conditions have impacted the soil and/or groundwater beneath a property. We use sampling and laboratory analysis to determine whether the integrity of the property has been affected, and compare the results to appropriate screening levels using a risk-based method. Based on the findings, a No Further Action (NFA) request may be justified, or the site status may require Site Remediation.

Site Remediation

Our Site Remediation services involve establishing clean-up goals based on chemical concentrations, and implementing remedial actions to achieve those goals. We use advanced techniques and equipment, such as the Hurricane rig for temporary groundwater and/or soil vapor well installation, sampling, and abandonment. Our team of experts is highly skilled in a range of remediation methods, including soil excavation, groundwater treatment, and in-situ chemical oxidation.
