Shepherd Of The Hills Christian Preschool

Welcome to Shepherd of the Hills Christian School, a Christian-based kindergarten and preschool located in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania. Our mission is to work in partnership with families to foster the development of each child entrusted to us. We offer a nurturing environment that utilizes a developmentally appropriate and motivating curriculum to contribute to the overall Christian growth of each child.

Our programs include Art, Scientific Investigation, Music Appreciation, Language and Math Activities, and Motor Skills Development, all designed to help children grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. We also offer Bible Teaching that lays the foundation for a Christian life through practical development and application of basic Bible principles.

Our History

Started in 1986, Providence Christian Nursery School was founded as a ministry under the non-profit organization, Providence Ministries, Inc. The school operated for 22 years, 20 of which were located at Shepherd of the Hills Calvary Chapel in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania. In 2008, Shepherd of the Hills Christian Preschool was established as a ministry of the church, with the vision to share the gospel message of Jesus and to educate children for academic success. In 2021, the preschool expanded to include a half-day kindergarten program.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy of education reflects a Christian philosophy of life, believing all truth is God's truth. We look to God's Son, Jesus, as the single perfect example of both student and teacher. In partnership with families and the Church, we provide another avenue for learning and developing, working toward the total education of our children. At Shepherd of the Hills Christian School, the student's world of learning is designed to reflect a Christian worldview, a Christ-centered view of life, teaching the whole child spiritually, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.
